NAC-SRCC Board Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Dave Arundel, Richard Barnes, Tom Kane, Larry Rossi
- The Board call began with a membership status and Treasurer Report. The current ballot regarding the HS2 / S2 cars has added a few members. The current estimate is that we will have 50 members and 4 associate members by the end of June. The current balance in the treasurer is approximately $2,460 with bills outstanding of ~$450 (website expenses and newsletter) for a net balance of $2,000. Anticipated expenses between now and year end of $500 to $600 for trophies and $1,000 for newsletters. Richard will update the budget and distribute to the board. The long term challenge will be to build some budget reserve in anticipation early 2009 expenses.
- The vote tally “to-date” regarding the HS2 car category shift to 1984 stands at 21 “Yes” and 1 “No”. The vote formally closes on 5/17.
- Richard agreed to distribute club decals to members prior to Gold Cup.
- We encountered disconnects on the teleconference call which shortened the call. Larry Rossi dropped off and was apparently unable to reconnect. The items that follow were discussed with only Dave, Tom and Richard on the call.
- Dan Hill has essentially completed the 30th Anniversary DVD. Richard is planning on discussing a few additions to the DVD master, but, it should be ready for reproduction by mid-June. The general discussion concluded that the DVD will be offered for sale a nominal price of $10 plus shipping & handling (estimated at $5). The DVD offer will be communicated to 30th attendees & members and required a check sent to Richard to reserve your copy. Once the total of orders are known, Noah Arundel will duplicate the DVD’s.
- It was agreed the subject of newer cars require a focused discussion by the board. The next board call will be dedicated to this topic. Tom will pole the board for a compatible conference call time during the week of May 21st.
