Board Minutes
In an effort to foster communication and be open in the administration of the Club, the Board of Directors of the NAC-SRCC periodically publish minutes of Board meetings. This section will also contain results of member votes and elections.
May 2011 Board Minutes Friday, May 20, 2011

The Board of Directors of NAC-SRCC met by conference call on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. Those present included John Kramer, Jim Southwood, Tom Kane, Greg Robison and Jim Hanna.
Website: The Board has accepted Peter Krause’s resignation as Webmaster, effective May 31, 2011. The Board is grateful to Peter for all of the time and effort which he has expended to make the website work. John Kramer presented the Board with several proposals from a new website manager, and Greg Robison is arranging a second bid from another vendor. The Board discussed various options for financing the website rebuild. In order to minimize a time gap of managing the website, the Board has agreed to consider updates on this matter by collective e-mail in lieu of conference calling, with a final decision by a meeting.
VRG: The Board discussed a proposed S2000 class recognition by the Vintage Racers Group. The Board agreed that the VRG is an effective, well run organization and will be a valuable partner for future events. Jim Hanna will liaison with the VRG. The Board also endorsed Chairman Kramer’s overture to the Vintage Sports 2000 group toward increased cooperation in the future; we look forward to their response.
September Events: The Board discussed promotion of the recently-designated Feature status for S2000 by HSR at their Sept.16-18 Road Atlanta event. We also discussed an overture by the SVRA to feature S2000 at Thunderbolt for their Sept.29-Oct.1 event. We will continue to publicize these events in order to maximize entries, mindful of the fact that they are a week apart and that HSR’s Feature is set, whereas SVRA’s is still tentative. Awards: The Board discussed Transatlantic’s new trophies, which were awarded at both Summit Point and Road America for the first time – they are very nice. We will continue to fine-tune the awarding of trophies to most efficiently serve both the membership and Transatlantic. We also distributed the new 2011 season shirt at Summit Point and Road America. Thanks to Jim Southwood for all of his efforts toward making a beautiful shirt. The Board also affirmed the practice of entering one ‘chance in the hat’ to win Avons from Sasco for each race entry for each member. There will be a drawing at the three festivals, and the winning member need not be at the Festival to win.
Mid Ohio: It appears that all five members of the Board will be at MidOhio for the next Festival; we have tentatively agreed to conduct a dinner meeting at Rocky’s in Mansfield, Ohio on Thursday or Friday evening, at which we will attempt to solve most of the world’s problems.
The next meeting of the Board will be arranged by e-mail when website proposals are ready to be voted upon.
Respectfully submitted -
Jim Hanna, Secretary
